wages of fear very good film one of the best ever The film is over long, with the first half being character development. It is, as a fellow reviewer has said, a little drawn out particularly in the early stages, but this should not detract from what is a first class adventure film.Yves Montand, Charles Vanel and Peter van Eyck are outstanding as the tension builds towards a thrilling climax.The supporting cast in the early scenes, along with the hot, dusty almost despairing location brilliantly set the scene for what is to follow.
